About the Group
An independent energy group built over two decades.
Goura Oil Limited is an independent energy group established in 2004 and incorporated in the British Virgin Islands, with operational headquarters in Egypt.

The Group is engaged in upstream oil and gas exploration and production, asset evaluation, energy investments, and strategic risk management, with a primary focus on Egypt and the wider MENA region. Over more than two decades, Goura has developed experience across the energy value chain through international crude oil trading, exploration and production ventures, concession evaluations, and energy investment activities.
Today, the Group's principal upstream activity is centered on the Wadi Dib Concession Area in the Gulf of Suez, operated by Phoenix Geo Services, an affiliated exploration and production company within the Goura Group. The Group's development reflects a progressive evolution from international trading activities to upstream participation and, ultimately, to operated exploration and production opportunities in Egypt.
Over more than twenty years, Goura has steadily expanded its capabilities across the energy value chain through disciplined investment, technical evaluation, and strategic partnerships. Rather than pursuing rapid growth, the Group has followed a measured approach — building expertise in international crude oil trading, commercial advisory, asset evaluation, exploration opportunity development, and upstream oil and gas operations.
This progressive evolution has enabled Goura to transition from commercial energy activities to direct participation in exploration and production projects, culminating in its current focus on the Wadi Dib Concession Area in the Gulf of Suez. Throughout this journey, the Group has remained committed to rigorous technical assessment, prudent capital allocation, and responsible long-term value creation.
Today, Goura combines commercial insight, technical capability, and regional experience to identify, evaluate, and develop energy opportunities across Egypt and the wider MENA region, reflecting the disciplined approach that has defined the Group since its establishment in 2004.
